Eagles a reminder to tell your parents that we will be performing our gymnastics routines to them on Tuesday at 2:30pm.
If you see this over half term please pass it on to the following people: Callum, Cal, Myles, Tom, Rudi and Kyra
I have just found out that the boys (+ 1 girl) netball final is to be held at Callowell on Monday 23rd February after school, please comment below if you have read this message and told your parents about it.
Thank you to those who passed this message on, lets hope the blog does its job and gets this out there.
Eagles, I have been very busy so far in half term and have created a simple racing game on scratch that I would like you to trial, as you can imagine this took me quite a while without being able to ask Uly, Isla or Gemma for help!
Click on the link here to play…. http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/48373180/
(Remember this will only work on computers)
Once you have trialled the game for me would you let me know what you think I could do to improve it, you can look at the coding by clicking ‘look inside’.
(I am looking for how I could improve the game play, not what the sprites or backgrounds look like).
You can share your games too!
All you need to do is follow the instructions below…
1. Log onto scratch
2. Go to ‘My Stuff’
3. Click on the game you would like to share
4. Copy and paste all of the web address at the top of your page into a comment below.
…hesitantly, she sat down and waited….
I would like you to write the beginning for a horror story, using this line anywhere within your 100 words. I will be looking for good imaginative ideas, creative use of vocabulary and punctuation and inclusion of a subordinate clause.
I look forward to reading what you come up with Eagles!
Gastrells Y5/6 tag rugby team won convincingly 14-1 in their first friendly match of the year. With brilliant offloading throughout, Gastrells played with a quick tempo and confidence against Cashes Green school. Captain, Cal lead the way with numerous tries and assists with Rudi, Henry, and Myles all getting on the score sheet multiple times through a variety of interceptions and darting runs. James, Lexi and Paige tirelessly tagged the opposition from start to finish with young guns, Theo and Dylan showing lightening fast footwork to evade tackle after tackle.
Player of the match goes to Cal for leading by example in both attack and defence.
Well done to all involved!
After learning about the Earth, Moon and Space and the moon landing in 1969 Eagles have been writing some of their own newspaper reports written the day after the historic event. More of these to follow as some are up on display in the classroom at the moment.
