So far this term Eagles have been learning about the Romans and this week with Mrs Smith they have been creating their own mosaic patterns and learning the story of Romulus and Remus, reading their amazing storyboards below.
Year 5 & 6 were given a wonderful experience on Friday to visit the Nailsworth Comrades club to hear an engaging talk all about WW1. They learnt about life in the trenches, the equipment that a typical solider would need and all the different roles within the army, as well as this they had the fantastic opportunity to try on and hold artefacts from WW1.
Eagles today have been role-playing an Aztec human sacrifices as they continue to learn about the Aztec way of life and culture.
Using thinglink, by clicking the picture you can find out how some of the class felt while playing their roles in the human sacrifice.
Let me know what you think about my new app thinglink too!
The children in Eagles have been inspired by images of the Blitz as part of their topic of WW2. The children merged colours to form a powerful sky lit up by the German air raids followed by London based silhouettes which they stuck on over the top to create these fantastic pieces of artwork.
*More to follow as they are finished*
